OnePlus 12’s Price Increase in China
The OnePlus 12 was released this week in China, however despite having improved internals over the OnePlus 11, there hasn’t been much of a buzz or positive reaction about the phone in Chinese social media circles.
Before the launch event, there was a lot of excitement in China over the OnePlus 12, as one Chinese influencer noted. Many Chinese OnePlus fans were anticipating that the device will come with a price tag of 3298 CNY, where it would rival the Redmi K70 Pro. However, many were skeptical about whether the OnePlus 12 was still worthwhile to buy despite the price increase when it was officially disclosed that the base model would start at 4299 CNY (602 USD).
To put things in perspective, the OnePlus 12 is anticipated to be on sale in January 2024 for 859 USD, up about 10% from the OnePlus 11‘s 3999 CNY pricing. The OnePlus 11 256GB is now available for 799 USD worldwide.
